Another lavender harvest is complete and 2010 has proven to be a bumper crop year. The distillery is a hub of activity as this years crop is distilled into pure, organic, golden colored lavender essential oil. The smells of the warm distillery will forever remind me and my daughter of sun drenched summer says among the lavender fields of our farm. Our golden retriever, Jewels, lays in the shade with her tongue hanging out..happy to be with her pack and watch the activity. Hot employees take a break to jump into the pool and cool off a bit. There is laughter and lavender all around. Next month when the distilling is complete we will celebrate this years harvest in true country style.
